OUR WORK

The same idea, tested in very different rooms.

From a cabinet table to a 30-person office: what actually happens when an organisation decides its people should get something back from AI — not just its balance sheet.

CLIENT NAMES WITHHELD UNDER NDA
NATIONAL GOVERNMENT
AI STRATEGY & GOVERNANCE ADVISORY
01 / 03

Writing citizens into a national AI strategy.

A national government drafting its AI and digital-infrastructure strategy said plenty about investment, computing power and skills — and nothing about what ordinary citizens would get back. Everyone agreed trust was the biggest risk. Nobody had a way to earn it.

We worked with the strategy team to write the missing half: one simple question asked of every big project — what do people get back? — new rules for buying AI, and a public scoreboard so citizens can see the benefit rather than just be promised it.

WHAT CHANGED
Every flagship initiative now carries a named human goal
written beside its economic goal, at the same level of the document
New rules for buying AI
suppliers must say when it's a machine, keep a person reachable, and keep human skills alive
Data centres paired with community benefit
new builds come with parks, schools or facilities of matching value for the people who live nearby
BIG FOUR FIRM
WORKFORCE & AI ADOPTION ADVISORY
02 / 03

Stopping AI from eating the partner pipeline.

A Big Four professional-services firm faced the classic trap: the work AI automates best — research, first drafts, reconciliation — is exactly the work junior staff learn the profession on. Automate it all and in ten years there is nobody qualified to review the machine.

We helped leadership rewrite the plan so it counted both sides: what the firm saves, and what its people get. Juniors still practise the work the machines now do. Time with clients is protected. The board now sees both numbers, every quarter.

WHAT CHANGED
The AI plan counts what people get back
hours returned and training targets sit right beside the cost savings
Juniors kept doing the work AI can do
so the next generation of partners still learns the craft by doing it
Client-facing time protected by design
time freed up by AI is kept for clients, not filled with more paperwork
SME · 30 PEOPLE
AI READINESS & IMPLEMENTATION ADVISORY
03 / 03

Giving a 30-person firm its Fridays back.

A family-run services business wanted AI but feared it: the owners worried about losing the personal touch their clients paid for, and the team worried about losing their jobs. Vendors were selling them headcount savings they did not want.

We did the sums the other way round. AI took the admin — quoting, scheduling, chasing invoices — and every hour saved was allocated in advance: half back to clients as face time, half back to the team. Nobody left. You will always deal with a person; the machines just make sure they have time for you.

WHAT CHANGED
Admin automated, relationships kept human
clients always reach a person; AI handles the paperwork behind them
Hours saved allocated before they were saved
half to client face time, half to the team — training, and early finishes
Zero redundancies, stated up front
the commitment that made the team adopt the tools instead of fighting them
